THE AMAZON

CALI
Cali is a city in southwestern Colombia, capital of the Valle del Cauca department. It has about 2 million inhabitants and is a significant industrial and commercial center of activity in Colombia. Being at around 1000 meters above sea level, it tends to have a warm midday and afternoon with nice Pacific Ocean breezes, while nights are cool.

educational attractions.
The beautiful settings of lush, mountainous landscapes and coffee plantations, along with the traditional architecture of terra cotta–roofed country houses, led UNESCO to add it to its list of World Heritage Sites in 2011.
The most impressive part of the coffee region is found between the three main cities
of Pereira, Armenia and Manizales. Some things to do:

CAÑO CRISTALES
Regarded as the most beautiful river in the world, it is commonly called the “River of 5 Colors” or the “Liquid Rainbow”. Between July and November, this fast river full of rapids and waterfalls, comes alive with yellow, green, blue , black and red– pink colors , from the Macarenia clavigera plant, the sight of which will leave you breathless. Caño Cristales is on the border of three different ecosystems, crossed by morichales and hills of the mountains, very characteristic of the plains landscape.

PASTO
Pasto (short for San Juan de Pasto) is located in the department of Nariño in southwestern Colombia, not far from the border Ecuador. One of the oldest cities in Colombia, Pasto itself offers pretty churches, restaurants and cafes.

With over 40 scuba diving sites, sandy beaches, reggae, calypso, and soca rhythms, and a blend of English, Spanish, and Afro-descendent communities, San Andres is the perfect place for snorkeling, windsurfing, and enjoying seafood and cocolocos!.
